Florida Beaches cover the ocean from coast to coast.
We are very familiar with the East Coast and waters of the Atlantic but this year we wanted to visit the Gulf Beaches.
As faith may have it we connected with Tradewinds Resort and fell in love with the location and amenities – and that was just from the amazing Site and Images
Upon arrival of the causeway /bridge on to the beach front the sky scraped palm trees covered the landscape. The views of the ocean set behind beautifully architectural hotels, homes and properties. We found the home that we were so excited to embrace for the next 3 nights and it was the TradeWinds Resort.
We checked into the standard suite room which included a double queen bed, spacious closet, a walkway leading to the full bathroom and living room /dinette area with a sleeper sofa, perfect for our family (family of 2-5) Every cozy area of the room is great for reading according to Bash.

The gulf beaches sand leave the most beautiful footprints. I couldn’t resist this cotton candy sky photo before heading to dinner.
Some of our favorite highlights and recommendations for you to remember when booking your stay at the Island Grand TradeWinds Resort
Have Dinner at RumFishgrill
The Rum Fish Beach Resort is directly next door to the Island Grand/ sharing a beach front view. The delicious Rum Fish Grill is in the same building as the infamous touch tank where we met Danny the stingray .
The light up menus were a highlight amongst the beautiful scenic aquarium strategically placed throughout the restaurant to complete a tranquil, yet family friendly setting.
Meet Danny at the Touch Tank!
The adventure begins the minute you awake at the Tradewinds Resort.
We couldn’t wait to get outdoors and by the pool or beach each day. The kiddos enjoyed an hour long reserved experience in the water park on the ocean. There are lifeguards on board and on the beach to assist with taking the kiddos out and gearing up. Once on the floats, the kiddos walked from place to place while sliding down the ramps and bouncing on the trampoline like water floats. Back on the sand they also enjoyed the inflatable slide… which I also couldn’t resist.
This is your reminder to book the trip; whether you’re traveling with the kids solo or with help. The memories are the best part. You’re not going to miss a moment of fun on the resort because the motto is “Just Let Go”
