We think that staycations are awesome!
As we quickly approach spring, then Spring break I took a look back on our last break and realized that staycations are also important.
Mid winter break comes right after the holidays and usually allow for families to relax after the mad dash of visitors, running errands and hosting. After all of those to do’s and expenses we’re usually also ready to hit a tranquil quiet beach with zero to dos and lots of vitamin sea ? and D.
This year we chose a staycation instead. The kiddos were able to sleep-in, in their own beds, catch up with schoolmates during play dates and try out The Sugar Factory; which has been on the TOP of their lists for quiet some time.
DADDY/UNCLE DATE TO THE SUGAR FACTORY IN ATLANTIC City NJ
Taking the time to be a tourist in your own city can be awesome.
DAY TRIPS
How about a NYC day trip to the empire state building, visit your local children’s museum, your local ice skating rink, catch a show or movie that you have been awaiting to see or perhaps organize your wardrobe and donate things that you can no longer use. Giving back always makes us feel better.
NOTE: children’s museum of manhattan has a new exhibit geared towards super powers!!
We truly enjoyed feldman entertainment’s Jurassic World Live !!
HOW ABOUT SOME READING:
There were also a few books on our lists to read so we took some time to relax during the day and do just that. Listed below are some of our faves that we highly recommend.
