Ski weekend at Stratton Resort, VT

Ski season has arrived and we are happily welcoming this time of year again!

This year we traveled to Stratton Resort in Vermont, where we met other ski moms and families for some #momtrendsski fun!

The ride up from NYC is a perfect 4 hour drive with out stops, but we’re talking about traveling with kids here so we stopped 2 times and made it in just under 5 hours.

Our ski weekend getaway itinerary is different from any other. There are a few things that we look forward to when spending the weekend on the slopes, like snow. Surprisingly this weekend snow was not in sight, but rain was. Don’t worry rain should never stop you when you’re heading to a ski resort village there’s always tons to do! Upon arrival we checked into the black bear lodge which was just in the middle of the village close to all amenities. We had the option of dining in the lodge or taking a shuttle up the road and we hide to excursion. Why stay in…..when theres so much to see?

…. We ate dinner at ” Mulligans ” sport bar style restaurant with everything from delicious sushi dishes to burgers… keeping everyone happy and full!

We also made our way through the Stratton Village to try out the newest flavors of energy granola by Cliff ( #cliffmountaindays ) to get set for the slopes. then check in at the rental location to secure our skis for the next morning.

Surprise! Though rain was on the forecast mother nature worked things out and we had a beautiful weekend!

I have to say that the best part of ski 🎿 weekends is the option of attending ski school or skiing with an instructor as a refresher before independently hitting the slopes; this is a must! I was so impressed with the girls independence on the slopes after a morning with an instructor.

After beaming with pride at how well the kiddos did on the slopes, I enjoyed a couple of runs on the bigger mountains with friends.

We couldn’t have all of the fun on the skis when the option of tubing at the sun bowl mountain was another option. We continued the adventures over at sun bowl, with music and fast lanes.

A ski moms weekend well spent wouldn’t be complete without a chat around the fire with delicious food and talks about how well we did or didn’t do on the slopes with lots of laughs.

The goodness of stratton!
