I wanted to choose a hotel location where I would be able to take the kiddos along and have space and time to get work done. So, I immediately started with IHG Hotels and Resorts..
IHG Crown Plaza Suffern-Mahwah stood out as the perfect location. The online photos and reality of staying at this hotel made it easy to choose this location…. bonus was that it is very close to NYC and has executive level suites in the hotel.
The Crowne plaza Sufffern-, is approximately one 50 minutes away from New York City. The hotels location is central to many fun amenities, which are great for winter, summer, spring and fall so we were super excited to book our stay at this location.
IHG Hotels & Resorts is our preferred hotel family when traveling or going on a weekend getaway. The reason why I love IHG is because it gives the feeling of being away from home with amazing amenities, comfort and excitement, but also feels like home. For our December getaway, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah.
While staying at the hotel; I was able to prioritize connecting with my family and productivity for work while also getting inspiration to set my goals and mark off my checklists.

The Crowne Plaza Suffern-Mahwah is filled with great amenities The ground floor has an amazing landscape of comfortable furniture to sit and watch a show or grab a table with your family to play games. The hotel has modern purposeful design featuring multi functional zones where I could switch effortlessly between work and socializing.
My family and I enjoyed dining at the Koi Lounge while watching a movie on the television screens throughout the area. The kiddos truly loved watching the fish in the Koi pond swim up to them. After dinner we grabbed a seat in the comfy sitting area to play a family board game and a few rounds of Uno.
I was also able to take in the beautiful gardens outside in the yard to get work done. I think that it is important to find spaces for this purpose. It is clear through the design, ambiance and flow from technology to public to public areas that the hotel is designed to allow guests to seek flexibility for a well rested and much needed blended travel. There are computers available for guests in the workspace area to get work done and relax which is what I call a perfect combination of work life balance.
