It’s the place that sparks creativity, imagination and adventure all in one. The best part of the experience for our family is the memories that are made along the way. This is why we are always excited when the Park introduces something new.
When LEGOLAND New York first opened in 2021, we wanted to have season passes and endless overnight visits just to wake up and enjoy the Park the next day. This excitement continues with the announcement that LEGOLAND New York will be opening an interactive new gondola-style ride – the Minifigure Skyflyer! Taking flight this summer, the Minifigure Skyflyer will allow guests to easily move from one end of the Park to the other while having an interactive dance party-in-the-sky and enjoying amazing views.
We were so delighted to get a sneak peek of the highly anticipated new Minifigure Skyflyer while visiting Belleayre Mountain. Now through April, LEGOLAND New York is partnering with the ski mountain to take over their Catskill Thunder Gondola and deck out two specially-themed pods to mimic the immersive, “party feel” of the Minifigure Skyflyer, creating a magnificent experience for skiers to get a preview of the new ride before it debuts at the Park this summer.
The Minifigure Skyflyer gondola pods at Belleayre glide above the mountain to the top of the Thunder Trail in approximately 7 minutes, providing breathtaking views in a themed gondola which includes all of the cool LEGO Minifigure characters for an amazing photo opportunity. Skiers who ride the gondolas will also get exclusive access to a QR code leading them to a “Kids Go Free” ticket offer (with the purchase of an adult ticket) to come check out the real Minifigure Skyflyer when it opens at the Park this summer. We are so excited to see this ride take flight at LEGOLAND New York!
