A New Year and New Books with Key Takeaways

Hello Books of 2025!!

This year started with lots of transitioning from December 2024. The books that I am recommending for you to add to your library are books and audibles that I started reading during the Winter holiday break. I will also include a key takeaway from each book that I felt was very helpful.

I am also including 2 books that were just released at the start of the New Year and a on the cusp of 2024 – 2025 Mel Robbins ” Let Them”.

It’s so important to remember that these books are also available on audible… which is how I enjoyed “The Let Them Theory” book.

We are all working and juggling multiple tasks daily, so having the option to listen to a great podcast or listen to an amazingly narrated book is a great one!

Key takeaway: This book can teach you how to stop wasting energy on what you can’t control and start focusing on what truly matters… which is YOU!

Tidy Up Your Life is a book created by a Dad; Tyler Moore, who is also an educator and content creator. He juggles all of the rolls, including being a  husband that are tied into his story. This book does more than share his story, it creates an open dialogue on how to navigate the rolls.

Key Takeaway: If you’re an overworked, stressed-out professional and Parent, Tidy Up Your Life will help you live a more joyful, tidied-up life.

The Five Principles of Parenting  by Aliza Pressman is a book that I have returned to many times.

The 5 principles can be used in many different ways throughout the stages of your parenting. It can be used as a sound board, also known as a best friend. It is a great tool to gather your own instincts.

Key Takeaway:  The ages and stages may change but the tantrums of childhood mirror the tantrums of adolescence.

The Power Pause by Neha Ruch

Key Takeaway : You don’t have to have all of the answers at the inflection point of wanting to pause to embrace motherhood.

The Disengaged Teen by Jenny Anderson and Rebecca Winthrop

Key Takeaway: There are counterintuitive parenting strategies for connecting with your child. These are great reminders when using strategies for tailoring your listening and communication styles to their needs, igniting their curiosity, and building self-awareness and emotional regulation.
