How To Become That Jack Of All Trades Every Business Owner Wishes They Were

This is for everyone who has ever asked a friend or fellow MOM how do you get it all done?!

A jack of all trades is often described as being a master of none, but how much truth is there in that really? When you’re a business owner, juggling as many tasks as possible is beneficial, and could even propel your company to stardom in a matter of months. To us, that sounds like the best combination possible!

But when you’re a business owner, how do you become a jack of all trades? What will it take to become multi skilled, multi disciplined, and with all the time in the world to refine your technique? Everyone is different, but the tips below might just be able to help.

Schedule Your Time Strictly

A jack of all trades, despite how flexible the title makes them sound, doesn’t mess around. They schedule their time quite strictly, and always go over the calendar to make sure they can fit in those meetings, lectures, networking events, and online courses without compromising on a good night’s sleep.

You’ll need to learn how to do this before you learn how to constantly adapt. To get started with this, think about what you need to do throughout the day in your personal life that can’t be shifted around. Sleeping is one thing, but eating healthy meals and keeping in touch with loved ones are others. Pop them in place like concrete stones and then be strict about the time you use around them.

Use Technology to Your Advantage

Technology can do a lot for the modern business owner. If you want to be the kind of person that can juggle tasks from all walks of life and you don’t need to call someone every time something needs handling, this is the kind of support you need to rely on.

Computers, tablets, smartphones, printers and copiers, cricut machines and software like Photoshop, and even online irs ein application processing, are all technology based programs that’ll make your job ten times easier.

Get your accountancy needs handled, make sure you’re wrapping products in packaging you can be proud of, answer those emails, and get all these tasks done in the space of an afternoon. That’s the power of technology!

Don’t Forget What You’re Good at

Even a jack of all trades has that one specialist skill that comes in handy! Never ever let yourself forget what yours is. This one skill is probably what you’re in business with in the first place, and you’ve made a name for yourself thanks to your performance within the field. If you let this hit the back burner and never check on it again, you might find you get rusty around the edges!

Always take time to check in on your old reliable talents and flex your muscles a little. Once you’re sure you’ve still got what it takes, you can turn your mind back to becoming a generalizing powerhouse.

Are you a business owner? Then why not learn as many things as you can? It’ll help your business!
