As a mom, I love to get messy and have fun with kiddos when cooking in the kitchen, but as a busy mom I need the DIY, 123, meals and activities that require a teaching moment and then let them explore and have fun kind of project.
I figured that there are plenty of moms like me and want to do all that we can to keep the halloween spirits high but maintenance low, so I found these. The diy snacks and treats that I found are easy to create , supplies can be found at the local store and require minimal preparation. I have actually completed one and plan to tackle 1 or 2 more for our pumpkin carving party with friends over the Halloween weekend.
First is the Spider? cookie – made with Oreo cookie, skinny pretzel sticks, vanilla, icing and chocolate or black icing. If you’re in need of an easier step for ? the candy eyes will be the best choice.
Second is the Mummy pretzel – made with thicker pretzel rods. Vanilla frosting, icing or vanilla chocolate melts . Heat up the icing and use a utensil to drizzle the icing until it’s wrapped around. Once again use the eyes ? as a final touch and wha la ……Heres more from Crafty Morning
Third and last but not least is the Milano Cookie Ghost ? . Get your favorite package of Milano cookies, using the same concept with the white icing or vanilla chocolate melts heat it up, stir it up and begin dipping 1/2 way. Using a toothpick to swirl the bottom of the icing will create the perfect ghost. Take your candy ? eyes or black icing to add the eyes and nose for the finishing touch.
