To celebrate Japan’s Children’s Day we went to see a great performance of “Momotaro’s Magic Book” created by Nanase Kusano; owner of the Theatre Banana for children. This touching story was set in such a tone for the adults to gain interest and for little ones to remain interested. There was dancing, singing, rhyming and repetition for their intriguing minds to grasp and remember. The children interacted with the friendly and beautiful cast and the girls went home repeating the words “Don Bura Kukko” which were the words of a magic spell they’d learned from the performance. The touching story had a happy ending of friendship; which we all love and crafts were available for making throughout the theatre. I highly recommend children’s theatre groups as a starter introduction….we’re not rushing to broadway 🙂 :). Here are some photos of the performance, vita and kennedy with the blue Oni monster and vita playing with her craft (Hang koinobori aka carp streamers) in her Twindollicious dress and necklace that can be found in our shop ||follow links above in menu||.
