This time of year is when we now celebrate Juneteenth as a federal holiday, Father’s day and also our own personal wedding anniversary ! We are truly a road trip kind of family after having children and love discovering new places and history of America . We thought that Cape Cod would be the perfect setting to begin the new Summer season.
Of course it was a great idea!
We booked the IHG Hotels & Resorts Holiday Inn Cape Cod – Hyannis because we knew that there is always a reliable location for any occasion. We were also confident that their safety accommodations would be of high standards.
One great way to choose a hotel is by the wide variety of family brand locations. Which is Another reason why we chose Holiday Inn in Cape Cod. The location is central to Main Street, Beaches as well as the Ferry to Martha Vineyard. This meant an irresistible trip over to the island.
Secondly, we chose this particular hotel because it accommodated the entire family’s entertainment needs.
NOTE: for a family of 5 to check out the suites because of the duplex option. The kiddos were able to hang out in the loft area if an emergency zoom call was needed. Yes, I know that we should not be working while on vacation but remember that we are transitioning into summer. This also means that the outdoor and indoor pool are accessible. Court yard views are the most gorgeous things in the Cape. Another highlight of this hotel is the breakfast and dinner option. The restaurant space is super clean and spacious with accommodations for 6-10 am breakfast and 6-9pm dinners, where the kiddos eat free.
The third reason why starting the Summer with a trip to the Cape is such a great idea is because of the learning possibilities which keeps the kiddos in learning mode while away from school .
We highly recommend visiting the Kennedy Museum. It’s such a simple walk through of history.
